The Outdoors is Never Out of Season

St. Andrews Beach Park

This beach park is a short walk from Jekyll Point, the southernmost tip of the Island. It’s a popular spot for watching migratory birds and groups of dolphins. The beach park features a two-story wildlife viewing platform and the Wanderer Memory Trail. Don’t forget to pack your picnic lunch!

Golf

Jekyll Island Golf Club is Georgia’s largest public golf resort—with 63 holes of golf among four breathtaking courses that play through some of Jekyll Island’s most pristine lakes, marshes, and forests. Established in 1898, members of the Jekyll Island Club created the island’s first golf course and has since been a heralded golf destination, attracting such acclaimed designers as Donald Ross, Walter Travis, and Joe Lee—as well as players from around the world. The Great Dunes Course at the Jekyll Island Golf Club is a member of the prestigious Walter J. Travis Society of historically significant courses.

Biking

Bicycling has long been a favorite activity on Jekyll Island. With more than 24 miles of picturesque paths and trails, biking offers a scenic way to see the island’s hallmark points of interest. Paths wind around sand dunes, beaches, and historic sites, while our ancient oaks offer ample shade.
