Our campsites are nestled underneath the tree canopy of the maritime forest of Jekyll Island and located about a half-mile from Driftwood Beach. There are no waterfront campsites.

Golf carts are allowed on Jekyll Island roads, including the Jekyll Island Campground, but must be street legal (braking system, reflectors, horn, rearview mirror, seat belts, and handholds for each passenger). All-terrain vehicles (ATVs), crossover utility vehicles (CUVs), four-wheelers, and utility side-by-side vehicles are not allowed. Check-in begins at 2:00 p.m., and check-out is by 12:00 p.m. on the day of departure. Late departures incur a $25 late fee. After hours check-in is available using the after-hours arrival box.
Primitive sites have water hookups only. Full hookups for tent camping are available on certain sites for $51 per night.
Weather-related cancellations are not accepted unless a mandatory evacuation is issued. The campground staff reserves the right to make exceptions for other cancellation reasons on a case-by-case basis. If you cancel the day of arrival, you will be charged a one-night fee. Any exceptions must go through the campground office during store hours.
Depending on size, self-contained RVs and camper vans can be parked in a primitive site. No tow-behind campers in tent sites.
Tent camping is not allowed in pull-through sites. Tent camping is available in select back-in sites in select areas of the campground. Please contact the office for details.

Yes, guests can have 1 tent on a site with any RV, with a maximum of 6 people per site. For tent sites, the maximum is 2 tents and 6 people.
Yes, the parking fee collected at the entrance gate is separate from the campsite reservation fee, and must be paid for each day on the island.
The maximum RV length is 45 feet, depending on site availability. Each site has a size-specific limit based on the landscape. The length limit for each site is listed on the reservation details.
A maximum of 2 cars per site. Additional parking is available near the camp store/office. Boats and trailers must be parked in the designated storage area, free of charge.
