Encounter an immersive experience of coastal history and wildlife.
Breakfast: Hotel
Morning: Historic Jekyll
10 a.m.-12 p.m.: National Historic Landmark Tour
Includes free time to wander the district on foot, Faith Chapel, and the Mosaic Gallery.
Lunch: TBD
Afternoon: Wild Jekyll
2-4 p.m.: Georgia Sea Turtle Center and a tour with Conservation
Tour possibilities include Gatorology or Ranger Walks.

Evening: Free Time on Jekyll
Spend time exploring Jekyll’s Driftwood Beach, wandering through the shops of Beach Village, or play a quick round of mini golf.

Travel back through our rich coastal history, spanning centuries.
Breakfast: Hotel
Morning: Colonial Jekyll
10-11 a.m.: Horton House
11 a.m.-12 p.m.: The Wanderer Memory Trail
Includes walking tours of each site. The walking tours will focus on the overall history of the Island in these locations.
Lunch: TBD
Afternoon: Golden Age of Jekyll
2-4 p.m.: National Historic Landmark Tour
Includes free time to wander the district on foot, Faith Chapel, and the Mosaic Gallery.
Dinner: TBD
Evening: Free Time on Jekyll
Spend time exploring Jekyll’s Driftwood Beach, wandering through the shops of Beach Village, or play a quick round of mini golf.
Depart from Jekyll Island to Darien, about a 40-minute drive. Darien is home to Fort King George State Historic Park, which is a reconstruction of a fort established in 1726, as well as a quaint coastal community.
Then, depart for St. Simons Island, the northern neighboring barrier island to Jekyll. St. Simons Island boasts many historical attractions including Fort Frederica National Monument, Christ Church, and World War II Home Front Museum.
Lastly, depart for Savannah from Jekyll Island, about a hour-and-half drive.

Explore the deep roots of the African American community within the region and its astounding impact on coastal history.

Includes walking tours of each site. These tours will focus on the enslaved men and women of Jekyll and their stories.

2-4 p.m.: In Service of Others Tour
Includes free time to wander the Historic District on foot, Faith Chapel, and the Mosaic Gallery. This tour will focus on the Club’s African American employees and how their descendants helped integrate Jekyll.

Evening: Free Time on Jekyll

St. Simons Island is home to a rich African American cultural heritage. Visit locations including the Harrington School, Cassina Garden Club Slave Cabins, First African Baptist Church, and others to learn about how these men and women have been shaped by their experiences on the Georgia coast, and how, in turn, they too have shaped the historical narrative of this region.
