Q: I’m getting married at night. How will I see?
A: If you’re getting married on a sea turtle nesting beach, you must comply with our beach lighting ordinance May 1-October 31. Most of Driftwood Beach is considered a nesting beach, so it’s a good idea to use turtle-friendly lighting. That means no lighting unless it’s sea turtle-friendly, which is amber or red LEDs, at least 560 nanometers. We also don’t allow fires on our public beaches, so no open flames or tiki torches.

A: Marriage licenses are obtained by applying for one at a county probate court. However, if neither party is a Georgia resident, then you must apply for the license in the county where the wedding will occur.
