A Bridge to the Past: Hollybourne Cottage

A Bridge to the Past: Hollybourne Cottage

Join us for a tour of one of the National Historic Landmark District’s most unique dwellings, Hollybourne Cottage. This tour showcases the distinctive home designed, in part, by Charles Stewart Maurice, a senior partner in the Union Bridge Building Company; the family that called it home; and the ongoing efforts to preserve their beloved Hollybourne. Experience the curious details of this one-of-a-kind residence, from its bridge-inspired support system to its Southern tabby construction. The tour is approximately an hour and 15 minutes and also includes a guided tour of Faith Chapel.

Guests should meet at Mosaic, Jekyll Island Museum, 10-15 minutes before the tour for check-in and to board the trolley that will transport to and from Hollybourne Cottage and Faith Chapel.
