Sensory Room
Introducing a thoughtfully crafted oasis designed exclusively for guests that may be feeling overwhelmed, the Sensory Room at Summer Waves Water Park. The Sensory Room is a safe, adaptive space where individuals and families can take a break from the excitement and find a moment of tranquility.

Access the Space
The room is located centrally in the park, across from the entrance to the Frantic Atlantic. To access the Sensory Room, visit the adjacent Lifeguard Hut and speak with the Aquatics staff.
Our organization has worked with the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES) to be designated as a Certified Autism Center (CAC). Our staff has completed training and certification in best practices when assisting autistic and sensory-sensitive individuals. By undergoing additional autism-specific training, the goal is for our team to be better equipped to provide better service and experiences to all.
