Great Dunes Beach Park

Jekyll Island’s beaches and beach restroom facilities will be closed to the public starting Saturday, March 21 at 6 a.m. until April 13, or until the Executive Order has been terminated or extended. Jekyll Island and its outdoor amenities remain open and accessible to the public. For more information, visit jekyllisland.com/covid-19.


This is Jekyll Island’s most popular beach for families. The 20-acre, beachfront park is easily accessible and offers several picnic pavilions, an activities deck, play areas, bocce ball and volleyball courts. Ample parking and public beach access with restrooms and showers are available.

This is a year-round pet-friendly beach, but we ask you please keep all pets under immediate control and on a leash no longer than 16′ at all times.
