Glory Beach Park

Jekyll Island’s beaches and beach restroom facilities will be closed to the public starting Saturday, March 21 at 6 a.m. until April 13, or until the Executive Order has been terminated or extended. Jekyll Island and its outdoor amenities remain open and accessible to the public. For more information, visit jekyllisland.com/covid-19.

Graceful sea oats and pristine sand dunes line Glory Beach Park on the south end of Jekyll Island. You’ll be amazed at how wide this beach is – and you’ll see why movie scouts chose to film portions of “Glory” here. Glory Boardwalk is next to the soccer complex on the Island’s south end.

This beach is a sanctuary for resting and nesting birds.  In order to help protect our wildlife, this is a no-pet beach all year long.
