Jekyll Island and St Simons Island are intertwined in their history and development of the coastal part of Glynn county. We will be exploring the history of the two islands as it relates to the Club era of Jekyll’s history, how the two islands developed into the twentieth century, and how the interactions of both the JIC and the Sea Island Company shared in their history.
