Bicycling has long been a favorite activity; the Island’s bike paths are a scenic way to see all of our hallmark points of interest.

Jekyll Island Segway Tours
Tour the maritime forest on the south end of beautiful Jekyll Island while guiding along on an eco-friendly Segway® Personal Transporter (PT). The educated guide provides instruction and then takes you through the paths to wonderful vistas, pointing out the plant and animal life as you stop to observe the sights.
The Segway® PT is a self-balancing personal transportation device designed to go in a safe, eco-friendly, efficient manner. These devices feel like nothing you’ve ever experienced because there’s never been anything like it. But almost immediately you’ll realize that the Segway® PT is balancing for you, almost like it has become an extension of you. Just lean forward a little and you’ll see that the Segway® PT isn’t moving you on its own; it’s moving in response to you and what you tell it to do. It all feels natural and really cool.

The 13 clay courts at the Jekyll Island Tennis Center offer beginners and advanced players alike an excellent surface to sharpen their skills. Compared to hard courts, clay provides cooler temperatures, as well as lower impact and slower ball speeds. The latter helps players work on improving their ball-striking strategy and finesse to help complement power and conditioning that come with hard-court play.

This nature tour offers the unique opportunity to walk down a historic trail through one of the island’s most diverse habitats while viewing Jekyll Island’s very own active bald eagle nest. On the tour with Jekyll Island Conservation staff, you’ll learn about the trail’s history, identify unique vegetation, spot local wildlife, and learn more about the active wildlife research efforts taking place on the island.
This nature tour offers the unique opportunity to walk along the sand on one of the island’s most isolated stretches of beach while viewing Jekyll Island’s densely populated shorebird flocks. On the tour with Jekyll Island Conservation staff, you’ll learn about barrier island ecology, the history of Jekyll Island’s south beachfront community, and historical sea turtle research efforts.

Summer is an exciting time on Jekyll Island for kids of all ages. Horse Drawn Carriage and Beach Tours
Come, Relax and enjoy a leisurely, Narrated Historic Carriage Tour of the beautiful Historic District on Jekyll Island. Jekyll Island Museum
In 1886, 53 prominent Jekyll Island Club members created an exclusive gilded era island retreat for family and friends on Georgia’s coast. These empire builders shaped our nation’s future. Now step into their past. This guided tram tour of the 240-acre National Historic Landmark District includes entry into two restored cottages as just one of its tour opportunities year-round.
