• Friday night Pre-Game Party at Latitude 31° ‘Rah’ Bar
• Mix, mingle, play with former UGA & UF greats

Celebrity Players

qThe 35th annual Georgia-Florida Golf Classic will feature former Dawg and Gator players serving as the event’s official celebrities. The Classic will be held on Jekyll Island’s three 18-hole golf courses, October 29-October 31.

Alums from each school will play in the tournament and lead his alma mater to bragging rights. Celebrity players include: Georgia’s Rodney Hampton, Keith Henderson, Brandon Tolbert, Daryll “DJ” Jones, Dale Williams, Matt Storm, Russ Tanner and Bernard Williams.

Representing Florida is Terry LeCount, Tate Casey, Travis Taylor, Willie Jackson, Jr., Willie Jackson, Sr., Terry Jackson, Doug Johnson, Chris Hetland and Charlie “Horse” Williams. Celebrity appearances are subject to change.

“We are honored to have these former players bring the game to our event,” stated Johnny Paulk, PGA Professional and event founder and director. “Their presence adds so much to The Classic and helps us to continue building on this great tradition.”

Among the celebrities, 10 played professionally with Hampton, Henderson, and Taylor, earning Super Bowl championships.

“We look forward to again welcoming our celebrities and big crowds to Jekyll Island for the Georgia-Florida Golf Classic,” said Jones Hooks, Executive Director of the Jekyll Island Authority and UGA alum. “The Classic has been an integral part of Jekyll for three and-a-half decades and is just as unique as the Georgia-Florida rivalry itself. It is a great time of fun, food and fellowship with those wearing Red and Black or Orange and Blue.”
