Shrimp & Grits Festival

Presented by Southern Living

After much consideration, we have decided to keep the 2019 festival in September, but starting in 2020 we will permanently move the festival to the first weekend in November, see below. While we understand no date will be perfect for everyone, or immune to weather, we believe this change will benefit everyone involved in the festival.

Upcoming dates for Jekyll Island Shrimp & Grits Festival:

  • September 20-22, 2019
  • November 6-8, 2020
  • November 5-7, 2021
  • November 4-6, 2022

2018 Festival Schedule
Friday, September 14: 4-9 p.m.
Saturday, September 15: 10 a.m.-9 p.m.
Sunday, September 16: 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Voted Best Festival in the Southeast

A coastal favorite, the Jekyll Island Shrimp and Grits Festival, presented by Southern Living, combines the classic southern dish with family-friendly entertainment, artists market, live music, kids’ zone, food, a craft brew fest, and more.

The island comes alive during this fun-filled weekend. Hurricane Irma may have canceled our plans last year, but this year’s event is bound to be the best yet.

Mark your calendars for this award-winning three-day event held the third weekend in September in the Historic District of Jekyll Island, Georgia.
