Independence Day Parade
Begin the 4th of July with Jekyll Island Museum’s 4th annual Independence Day Parade. All are welcome to participate in this fun, free event through the National Historic Landmark District. Bring your bikes, golf carts, strollers, wagons, or pets (on their leashes, please) donned in festive costumes and patriotic decorations.
The procession will line up at 9 a.m., with the main event getting underway at 9:30 a.m.

Following the parade, prizes will be awarded. First, second, and third places for each of these categories:
- Most Patriotic Person
- Most Patriotic Pet
- Best Decorated Bicycle
- Best Decorated Golf Cart
We’ll also award the most coveted, “Overall Best of Parade”
Spectators are encouraged too! Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and cheer on the parade participants or join us at the Skeet House and Sans Souci lawn for patriotic fun while you await the procession. We can’t wait to see you there!
