This summer, campers can improve their tennis skills and help develop their personal style of play. Camp sessions are grouped by skill level, and split the day between personalized tennis stroke structure & improvement and application of these skills in fun games and challenging drills. All camps meet Monday-Friday, 9.a.m-2 p.m. at the Jekyll Island Tennis Center. Aftercare is not available.
All Tennis Camps include 20 hours of instruction, a visit to Summer Waves Water Park during camp, daily lunch option offered by Larry’s Giant Subs, and an official camp shirt.

Meet the Camp Director: Stewart Atkins
Stewart Atkins joined the Jekyll Island Authority in December 2016 as the Director of Tennis with over 20 years of experience in the tennis industry. He began his career at the historic Grove Park Inn Resort and Spa in 1993 as the Assistant Tennis Professional, and was promoted to Director of Tennis and Recreation in 2000. While at the five-star resort, he built the tennis program to be ranked as one of the top 15 tennis resorts in the US. Atkins’ long-time love of the Golden Isles brought him to the area in 2013 where he joined the team at Sea Island Resort as the Tennis Facilities Supervisor. In 2016, he founded Atkins Tennis Performance as the private teaching professional and consultant. He is excited to direct the rebuilding of the tennis facility and programs at Jekyll Island Tennis Center, and is looking forward to Jekyll Island becoming a premier tennis facility, not only in Georgia but in the southeast.
