Traffic Advisory Issued for Jekyll Island
On Saturday, December 8, the 3rd annual CASA Jingle All the Way run will be held on Jekyll Island. Drivers are advised that the morning race will cause road closures and traffic changes on the island. Please note the following road closures and traffic advisories announced by the Georgia State Patrol:
• 8:30 to 10:30 a.m.: Shell Road will be closed.
• 9 to 9:15 a.m.: Riverview Road and Stable Road (at the 3-Way Intersection to Shell Road) will be closed.
• 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.: Motorists heading North on Stable Road to Old Plantation Road and Sheldon Road (prior to the bike path in the National Historic Landmark District) are asked to be on alert as this portion of road is part of the race route.
Drivers and pedestrians are advised of these closures and are asked to take alternative routes during the morning race. We thank you in advance for your cooperation.
