CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING FESTIVAL
The magic of the holiday season arrives with the island’s annual Tree Lighting Festival. Bring the family to welcome Santa, enjoy crafts, jingle bell tours, food and entertainment. Don’t forget about the evenings fireworks! The lighting will be held starting at 4 p.m., in the Historic District lawn area. Admission is free.

ANNUAL BLUEGRASS FESTIVAL
Enjoy three days dedicated to the traditional sounds of banjos and homespun music with the annual Bluegrass Festival. Dozens of the genres favorite acts will grace the convention center stages throughout the family-fun event. During this 2 month long program, “Beach Buddies” hide handworked glass globes along the beaches for lucky visitors to find.
Holidays In History
The cottages of the historic district are decorated for the season! Enjoy the history of Jekyll Island enriched in seasonal splendor as you venture inside the cottages of Jekyll Island’s National Historic Landmark District. Adults $16, children 7-15 $7, children 6 and under free. Nov 29-Dec 31 (except the 24th & 25th) at 11am, 1pm, and 3pm daily. Special Twilight Tours are available Saturdays in December 2014, 4pm. Reservations are required for the twilight offering. Jekyll Island Museum, 912-635-4036.

Advanced Members Exhibit at Goodyear Cottage Gallery
The talented hands that make up the Jekyll Island Arts Association will showcase their cream of the crop works, including painting, sculpting, woodworking and more. The gallery is open from noon to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sundays. Admission to the exhibit is free.
Advanced Members Exhibit Opening Reception
Celebrate the annual Advanced Members showcase with friends new and old, during the opening reception at Goodyear Cottage Gallery. Snacks and drinks will be served. The reception will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Admission is free.
Santa loves good boys and girls. Santa loves his reindeer. And Santa loves his sea turtles! Join the Jolly Man at the Georgia Sea Turtle Center to tell him your holiday wishes, then stick around to visit the turtles and make holiday ornaments. Jekyll Island Club Events
Holiday High Tea
This annual holiday gathering offers guests high tea, sandwiches, soup, scones and holiday sweets, set to the music of the Jekyll Island Club Hotel’s pianist as he plays holiday tunes. The tea will be held at 3:30 p.m., in the Grand Dining Room. Admission is $25 per person. Click for more information.
Santa Claus at Crane Cottage
Jolly St. Nick will welcome children and families to hear their holiday wishes. A photographer will be on-hand to capture children’s special moment with Santa. The event will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Crane Cottage. Admission to the event is free, but there is a charge of the photos, which are optional. Click for more information.
Christmas Cookie Workshop
The Jekyll Island Club Hotel’s pastry team will be on-hand to help guests decorate Christmas cookies. Each guest receives one-dozen cookies. The workshop will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Morgan Center. Admission is $15 per cookie maker, and $5 for others. Click for more information.

Scottish bagpiper Tim Akins heralds the season was he walks around the hotel campus playing traditional holiday tunes and Scottish melodies. Akins will play from 4 to 4:50 p.m. throughout the Jekyll Island Club Hotel’s outdoor properties.
Admission is free.
New Year’s Events
Whether you like to eat breakfast early or late we have the perfect Gourmet Breakfast for everyone. Gourmet Breakfast Buffet will be served from 7am-2pm. Great way to celebrate the New Year and start the day with a hearty meal while spending time with family and friends. We will be offering many New Year’s favorites and more! Omelets and Crepes to order, along with Belgium waffles, collard greens and maple marmalade glazed ham. Yum! Reservations recommended, call 912-635-5155.

The Jekyll Island Club Hotel will serve a brunch buffet filled with traditional and modern holiday cuisine. Brunch is served at 11 a.m., 12:45 p.m. and 2:30 pm. in the Grand Dining Room; and from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Crane Cottage. Meals are $42.95 for adults and $21.50 for children under 12 years-old. Reservations are required.

New Year’s Eve Dinner
Ring in the New Year Millionaire style at the Jekyll Island Club Hotel. We will have an After Dinner Party at the Morgan Center with a DJ and Dancing. The party will feature Chocolate Fondue, a Gourmet Grilled Cheese Station, Breakfast Sliders and more! Admission is free to patrons dining in the Grand Dining Room and only $25.00 for the public. This is the holiday party you don’t want to miss, gather your friends and head over to Jekyll Island for New Year’s Eve.
