Celebrate the start of the Christmas Season at the annual Jekyll Island Christmas Tree Lighting Festival, November 28 in the Jekyll Island Historic District. Enjoy holiday stage performances, arts and crafts vendors, and games and activities for children. Santa will be on site for pictures, and families can enjoy hayrides, holiday shopping, delicious hot chocolate and savory Christmas treats.
In addition, this year the Jekyll Island Authority is partnering with the Southeast Coastal Georgia Chapter of the American Red Cross to participate in their Holiday Mail for Heroes program. Visit the Holiday Mail for Heroes booth at the festival and send your well wishes to our troops overseas.
Activities begin at 4:30 PM and continue until the lighting of the Christmas tree and fireworks finale at 7:30 PM. Admission to the festival is free. Some activities do require a small fee.

Oswald Brothers – This four member band resides in Gwinnett County, Georgia and was recently featured on CBS’s “The Early Show” in the Singing Family Face-off Competition. Their music is mostly Christian-based and they have been invited to open next year at a concert featuring Echoing Angles, Casting Crowns, and Third Day. |
