Time Travelers Camp

Travel through history this summer with Historic District Tours. Discover Jekyll Island’s eventful past through a variety of daily field trips, games, and hands-on activities. Your summer camp adventure includes outings through the ages, exploring Native American and Colonial times, the Golden Age of Piracy, the Gilded Era, the Roaring 20s, and the 1950s.

Time Travelers Camp includes 25 hours of instruction, a visit to Summer Waves Water Park during camp, daily lunch option offered by Larry’s Giant Subs, and an official camp shirt.

Who: Rising 3rd-7th Graders

When: July 15-19, 2019 | 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

Where: Mosaic, the Jekyll Island Museum

Cost: $280 + tax per child
Additional camp shirts may be purchased separately, and will be available upon camp check-in. A 10% discount will be offered for each additional child/sibling. 


Meet the Camp Director: Cheltsey Vann

Cheltsey Vann is a Brunswick native and lover of nature and history. Her family has worked on Jekyll as far back as the beginning of the state park era of the island, dating back to the 1950s. Ms. Vann has a formal background in education and loves to incorporate hands-on experiences to make learning fun and more concrete for students. She has been the head camp counselor of the Jekyll Island Museum’s Time Travelers Camp since it began in 2016.
