Summer Waves 30th Birthday

Summer Waves is turning 30, and we’ve got a season filled with birthday fun. Join us as we celebrate this milestone with the all-new Shark Tooth Cove – our bigger, better, and splashier kids’ zone – fireworks, swim-in movies, and more. Splash into summer!

Birthday Bash

Splish-splash it’s a Summer Waves bash! Join us as we kick-off of our 30th birthday season on Jekyll Island. This fun-filled day includes the official opening of Shark Tooth Cove, our brand new bigger & better kids’ zone, birthday cake, appearances by Summer Waves’ own Dolly the Dolphin, and special give-aways throughout the day.Get your splash on!

Fireworks scheduled for Saturday, 5/20  have been cancelled because of dangerous fire weather conditions. They will be rescheduled at a later date.

Hours: Saturday, May 20: 10 a.m.-8 p.m.

Fireworks

Celebrate our 30th birthday every month this season! Join us on the 30th of each month for a special in-park fireworks show. Swim on over, the dazzling displays will begin at dusk.

Dates: Tuesday, May 30 | Friday, June 30 | Sunday, July 30

Due to inclement weather, fireworks scheduled for Tuesday, May 30 have been canceled. Please join us for fireworks on June 30, and our other birthday events throughout the summer. 


Summer Waves Swim In Movie

Swim-In Movies

Grab an inner tube and watch your favorite water-themed movies from the wave pool.

June 3: Moana
July 1: Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest
Hours: Movies start at 8:30 p.m.
Location: Frantic Atlantic wave pool
Cost: Free movie with the purchase of a Night Splash ticket, $13.95 + tax


Water Aerobics

Available weekdays, June & July

Keep cool and in shape this summer with water aerobics at Summer Waves. Taking place throughout June and July, instructor-led classes are held every Tuesday and Thursday, or, go at your own pace in the River Walk on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30-9:30 a.m.
Location: Water aerobics meets at the Lazy River, and is supervised by lifeguards.
Cost: $5 daily, $50 monthly
