Be a part of a splash-tastic season at Summer Waves Water Park!
The Jekyll Island Authority is monitoring recommendations from state and local health agencies including the CDC and the Department of Public Health and at this time, Summer Waves is scheduled to open in May. An official opening date has not yet been announced, but management is actively implementing additional protocols to ensure the well-being of visitors and park staff, in preparation of opening.
To ensure the safety of our job applicants, we have implemented the following additional hiring protocols:

Attraction guards are responsible for ensuring safety and efficiency in their assigned areas, maintain park cleanliness, and provide customer service. Additionally, attraction guards are responsible for communicating safety rules and assist when necessary with emergency response.
Lifeguards are responsible for ensuring patrons remain safe as well as maintaining park cleanliness, and exceptional customer service. Additionally lifeguards are responsible for communicating and enforcing safety rules of the park and providing emergency response when necessary.
Under general supervision, guest service employees are responsible for performing a variety of guest service duties including greeting guests and park visitors, providing information and services. Taking reservations, changes and cancellations of group sales, complete ticket transactions, and reconcile cash drawer. Position requires heavy public contact, customer service, cash handling and ability to use computer.
Under general supervision, park service employees are responsible for performing a variety of housekeeping duties including cleaning, sweeping, polishing, waxing, washing windows, cleaning bathrooms, etc. to ensure Summer Waves buildings and public areas are neat and clean at all times. Responsibilities include pressure washing shelters, tables, walkways, etc, and maintaining the overall cleanliness of the park. The Summer Waves Gift Shop is seeking outgoing, responsible, and energetic sales staff to represent Summer Waves and enhance the experience of visitors this summer season. Under limited supervision, the Summer Waves Gift Shop Guest Services responsibilities include, but not limited to: providing exceptional customer service to visitors, performing sales transactions, and maintaining appearance of the Summer Waves Gift Shop. This is a part-time seasonal position, must be able to work weekdays, weekends, some early evenings and holidays. Hours and days will vary.
Under general supervision, the Guest Services Team Leader will assist the Director of Retail Operations with daily operations of the Summer Waves Gift Shop. Responsibilities include: providing exceptional customer service, shop supervision, inventory control, training and motivating staff, and maintaining accurate accounting records. This is a seasonal position that can expect to work up to 40 hours per week including weekends and holidays.
