Biking

For self-guided exploration of the island, many visitors choose to travel by bicycle. Jekyll Island features more than 20 miles of paved trails that allow for exploration of a broad range of scenery, from beaches to forests to Jekyll Island's own Historic Landmark District and campgrounds. Free bike path maps are available at the Jekyll Island Welcome Center and at the bike barn on Shell Rd.

Bike rentals are available adjacent to the island's miniature golf course and children's playground.

Plus Tax - Helmets are required by law for ages 16 and under and are available at no extra charge. Children 12 months and older may ride.
